Dli. MAC'piBBOX EXONERATED. At the Hawera Hospital Board's enquiry yesterday regarding the circumstances connected' with the death of the late Mrs. Brosnan, after hearing statements made by Dr. Barron and a sworn and written deposition by Mrs. Wallis, the. nurse who accompanied Mrs. Brosnan to Hawera, the following' resolution wits moved by Mr. Maclieynolds: "That, after hearing the evidence, this Board is of opinion that the Medical Superintendent, having admitted the patient into the Hawera District Hospital, was not justified in ordering her to be removed until he had seen her.' 1 Mr. Dnirs seconded. ' "ilr. Marx moved .is an amendment. and Mr. Ooodlands seconded:— "That, in the opinion of this Board, the course adopted by the jiemcal Superintendent was in accordance with the regulations of this hospital, and while the Board deplore the whole circumstances attending the conveyance to the hospital and after, they are fiillv satisfied that no blame attaches to Dr. Mncfiibbon." The amendment was carried, the voting being:—For. Messrs. Sutton. Marx, Quill, Stanners. and Ooodland; against. Messrs. Duirs and .Macßcynolds.—ftiir.
