THE BOROUGH ELECTIONS.
To the Editor. Sir,— A fortnight ago Mr. E. Dockrill wrote to your paper criticising the policy of tlie present llorough Council and' its wginccr. It looked as though lie were touting for a request to stand for the mavoraltv, pitting his record against -thai of Mr. Tisch. But Mr. Dockrill's supporters know better than to even dream of running the ex-Mayor again for the mayoralty, at any rate so long as Mr. Tisch is in office. Mr. •ockrill is determined to have a "dig" at Mr. Tisch, but he seems to think it safer to criticise from the Council table than from tike public platform in endeavoring to show how much better he would have done than Mr. Tisch during his term. Why not do the manly thing, Mr. Dockrill, and assail the Mayor m his stronghold. Stand up before Mm md before the burgesses, and let them choose between you. If they are anxious for a return to the humdrum of the few years preceding Mr. Tisch's term, there" is no reason why you should not once again sit as Mayor.—l am, etc., CENTRAL.
