FIRES.
Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. PuWuliui, Tuesday. The Hamua Hotel was destroyed by fire at 4 o'clock thin morning. The only persons sleeping on the premises were the proprietor (Mr. Holland), two employees, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, and a man named John l'ryde. The insurance is not ascertainable. The origin of the fire is unknown. The license of the hotel expires at the end of June next. Wellington, Last Night. A flve-roined house at Oriental Terrace, owned by Jolm Launder and occupied bv IT. 0. Young, was destroyed by lire this evening. The house was insured for £OSO in the South British, and contents for £l3O in the United Assurance.
