By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. Most of the events in the Wellington provincial tennis championships were decided to-dav. In the final for the men's singles, H. Rice (New South Wales) easily defeated H. K. Swanston, o_3 : o—l. 'in the men's doubles semifinal' Rice, and Brown heat Fisher and Blair, 3-fl, 8-4. «-l- The final is to he played on Saturday. In the ladies' singles (final) Miss NunneUy lieat Miss Travers, 7—5. o—2; in the ladies' doubles (final) Misses Travcrs and Gray beat Misses Simpson and Ledger, 6—2. ft—2; in the combined doubles (semifinals! A. Young and Miss Cray beat fl. F. Snivthe and Miss Simpson, 8-8. n_7. Fisher and Miss Batham beat Wilson and Miss Ward, (i-3, 7-5. The final is to be played hy Friday.
