The annual meeting of the Taranaki football Association was held in Kit ham en Thursday last. The report and balance-sheet were read and confirmed, the chairman congratulating the Association on .ue successful year. ,' The election of officers resulted as loliows:—President, Hon. W. Carncross, M.L.C.; Vice-Presidents, Dr. Walker, Dr Maelagan, Mr J. B. Hiue, M.P., and Mr Bobbie ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr iC. Carncross; Chairman. Mr S. Clarke ; Auditor, Mr V. E. Betts ; Management Committee, Messrs Melville, Clarke and : iCarncross. Correspondence was received from the (Wanganui Football Association with regard to a visit from a representative Iteani at Easter. It was decided to receive the team and to play two matches, one at Kaponga on Saturday, April 10th, and the second at Stratford on Easter Monday. As there would be some difficulty in players getting off for both matches it was decided that the first match lie against Kaponga Club, which mas to procure the assistance of any outside players it deemed advisable. It was decided to take the initial steps in forming a Referees' Association, secretaries of Clubs to forward to the Asgociation the names of men willing to act as referees. The affiliation fees was fixed at £1 Is.

The play-off for the Cup Championship 'was not decisive last year, the season closing after two drawn games had leen played, and it was) decided that Hu.■wera and Stratford play off again on neutral ground as soon as the season opened. Owing to the probability of two new teams coming iu this season, the draw-iug-up of tile fixtures was left till next meeting. The next meeting will be held immediately after Easter. On the motion of the chairman a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Ihe secretary for -his services during the past season.
