This scheme would reduce the distance fromi Foxton to the Jieads by two -milcn, a*n<lj the cost would be about £350,000. Thtt Commission is of opinion that the Stato should ibeax some portion of the cost. COMPANY TO BE WOUND UP. Auckland, Tuesday. The.Ferro-Concrete Company of Australasia, which has carried out most of the iii'w wharf construction in Auckland and erected a number of buildings in the city, is to be wound up in. consequence of a pressure of creditors. It asks to be allowed to complete the present harbor contracts under a liquidator.
