SWIMMING.
The IUO yards club championship is to be swum to-night at the baths. Mr. .lames Smith, of the Imperial Hotel, has again kindly presented tile medal. A SO yards handicap is also being arranged for the benefit of those who are not champions. The club handicapper (Mr. A. L. Dixon) lias declared tlie following handicaps for the 50 yards sweepstake race to be held this evning:—Bristol scr., (libbons lsec., 'Brown ], Hawkins 2, llarle 4, f.aing 3, Turiiliull 0, Collier 5, Francis (i, Freybeig 7, AlcNatty 8, Wilson 8, AfcIlvride 8, Cooper 8, \Vhitaker 8, Watson St, Stacker 12, Maxwell 1-1. Consequent oil a challenge received from the Bankers' Swimming Club for a relay race (five a-side), the following law clerks are requested to roll up at the ISatlis at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, (when the selectors will lie in attendance) to swim a trial length for the honour of representing the l,a\v.-,H.
