♦ THE NDIROD EXPECTED ANY DAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchureh, March 13. The Niuirod may return to New Zealand ut any time now, although it is not actually due till the last week of this month. Members of the party probably returned to their -winter quarters at Cape lioyds in McMurdo Sound in time to depart not later than February 13th. A scientific investigation was to be undertaken in the southern seas, but if the conditions were unfavourable it would be abandoned, and the vessel is expected to come on without delay.
