UNFAVORABLE TIME FOR LOANS. | Received 24, !M.i p.m. London, February 24. The sum of .ttiOO.uuO has been subscribed on the .New South Wales loan, including a large tender by a Sydney bank. Subscriptions amounting to half a million were withdrawn, owing to the unsettled slate of the market, due to unfavorable news from the Near East. Many tenders were withdrawn altogether, while .others were reduced byhalf. The position ol all colonial Stocks was affected by to-day's Argentine issue ol five per cents at 08.
