THE PROFESSIONAL QUESTION. INTERNATIONAL HOARD'S DECISION. Received 7, 4.30 p.m. London, February <i. The Rugby International Hoard disagreed with Scotland's proposition that the daily allowances to the New Zealand team amounted to professionalism, Scotland and Ireland voting for the proposition, and England ami Wales against it. The Hoard unanimously resolved that cash allowances were contrary to the principle of Rugby football, and that no such allowance shall be made in future.
AUSTRALIAN PRO'S DEFEATED. Received 7, 0.10 a.m. London. February 7. Uroughton Rangers beat the Australian League by 4 goals and '2 tries to Cf goals and 2 tries. In the first half, 'the Rangers secured two goals froiu 'tries. Granes obtained a try, Messenger converting. In the second half, 'Rangers obtained two penalty goals. "Messenger also kicked a goal and (Heidlce scored a try, which was unconverted. The game was very rough, two of the Rangers being ordered off the field.
