WAITARA S.M. COURT.

The monthly sitting of the .Magistrate's Court was held in Waitara oil Wednesday, when the following cases were dealt with:—E. J. Goodc v. Mr. Townsfend, for plaintiff, said the claim had jbeen paid without costs, and Was asked for 10s, representing tho easts. Judgment was accordingly given. |A' % Lake v. K. Pirihira, claim *10; Mr. Townsend for .plaintiff and Mr; Wilkes for defendant. Mr. Townsend sa'id an application had been made for cfoange of venue, but such had not been made in time. In any case the affidavit had been made iby counsel, instead of by defendant ihimself. It was agreed to adjourn the case on defendant paying the tees. S. Schultz v. OTtonne'll, claim £10; Mr. Wilkes for plaintiff, Mr. Townsend for defendant. Mr. Townsend objected to the case going on, pointing out that the plaint did not give sufficient particulars, and lacked necessary dates, ffhe case was adjourned on defendant paying solicitor's fee. Snell v. Tupi, judgment summons £l4 Is 9d. Mr. Wilkes for judgment creditor. Debtor ■was ordered to pay the amount on or ibefore the 28th February, or in default 14 'days' imprisonment in New Ply- ■ mouth gaol. H. H. Jury v. A. E. Sarten, claim £5 on account of dog alleged to be destroyed.
