•WAIR-ARAI'A BURGLARIES. By Telegraph,— Press Association. " -Masti-rton, Last Night. Three men, Edward Richard Black, Charles Henderson and Onirigu Toll'ej, were charged at the Police Court to-day with stealing a .number of articles from various residents ill "Masterluii and uarterton. Henderson and Toll'ey pleaded guilty and were remanded to- the Su j picnic Court for sentence. Black was committed for trial to the Supreme Court. CATTLE STEALING CHARGES. Napier, Last Night. The last of tlie series of cattle-steal-ing charges was heard at the Magistrate's Court to-day before Air. S. E. McCarthy, S.At. William Brewer was charged with on December sth at Runanga, on the Napier-Taupo road, stealing 44 head of cattle, of the value of £IOB, the property of Richard Ke'eiie and James Rcid. Accused reserved his defence and was committed for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed.
