A MAN WITH THREE WIVES
THE DUNEDIN CASE, POLICE COURT EVIDENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. I At the Police Court to-day, before Air Kenrick, S.AL, Thus. Patrick Flyiin was charged with having on February % 11)04, being then a married man, gone through a form of marriage with Alary Aim Pearson Skinner, and also with having, on November 3, 11)08, being then married, gone through a form of marriage with Isabella Grant. Chief Detective Herbert, after outlining the facts, said accused had intimated his intention of pleading guilty in the Supreme Court. Margaret Ann Flynn gave evidence as to her marriage with accused at Arrowtown on. November 15, 181)0. After living there for about three years accused went to Canterbury and Dunodiu. In 1004 she came to Duncdin, and after a, separation of about six months, due to witness' ill-health, he lived with her. During tile separation accused said he had been boarding somewhere. Owing to the way accused was coming and going witness complained, and he admitted he had married another woman. Her marriage certiiieate was mislaid. She had charged accused with taking it, but be laughed at her. Evidence as to the second marriage was given by Alary Ann. Pearson Skinner, who said that about bight months after the marriage accused admitted he had another wife, and she ceased to cohabit with him. Jane Johnston and -Rev. Howitsca gave evidence regarding the third marriage. Application had been made at Arrow-town for a copy of the first marriage certificate, but as it had not come J to hand accused was remanded till the 30th inst..
