A CHILD DROWNED. By Association. Wellington, Last Night. About 10 o'clock this morning a child named William Wilson, aged three years, son of Mr. F. W. Wilson, of. Feilding, was drowned at > Scatouu through falling into a concrete tank at the residence of Mr. William 11. Green, the child's grandfather. SUICIDE AT NOIiMANBY. Ilawera, Tuesday. The wife of Edward. THE WAJ'I'ABA DROWNING ACCIDKNT. In drowning fatality at Waitnra, Sydney Kliodes lost his life, Ihe'Waitara Mail'says the victim was I'X'crcisinga horse belonging to Captain •laincs Mitchell. Deceased then called out, "I'm done,'' snd let go, sinking into deep water with his arms extended, but without a struggle. Further attempts at rescue were made by Messrs. TTaine and Frank Clare, but they could see no traces of deceased. Subsequently tlie body was recovered by the police.
