AMUSEMENTS.
' THE ISCAKLET TROUIULXJUItS. The Scarlet Troubadours played to a packed theatre on Saturday night, the audience leaving no doubt as to the favorable impression created by the troupe upon their first visit. Xhe programme on this occasion was, as all tne Troubadours' programmes arc, bright and sparkling, lull of wholesome humor and pleasing vocal and instrumental nurnJjcrs. 'l'be final item was the repetition ol "Pushed him through the window," and it was as heartily received as ever, for the audience was in a mood for fun. For \ the same reason Mr. Edgar Warwick's humorous items were all eagerly looked forward to. Mr. Ford Waltham, tbe bass of the troupe, who is also' a tip-top humorist, scored bis biggest success in an encore number, "In Cellar CooL" "The Troubadours will we'«p," was a piece of part singing aad humorous acting that simply convulsed the audience. Miss Maud Fame sang several numbers, the best being "Mr. Gollywog, good night," and "My Tiny Firefly." Miss Gertrude Parker climbed into popularity with her pretty number, "A Lesson with the Fan," responding with "Philosophy." ''The Yeomea of England" was capitally treated by Mr Alfred Cunningham, who was equally . successful with his other numbers. Mr. Percival Mackenzie's few minutes with the crayon lightning sketches were delightfully'amusing. Every item was tencored, some of them a second time, and ' the audience dispersed in the best of food humors.
