URU HEADS THE POLL FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT. By Telegraph-Press Association. Cliristchurch, Last Night. It is reported that the totals for till Southern .Maori election now are: Urn 357, Parata 254. With the Croixelles poll, (Parata (i, Urn 4) to arrive, this would give Mr. Uru a majority of one. Mr. H. W. Bishop, S.M., who is the principal returning officer for the Soutlre-.-n Maori electorate, states that at present he has no official information to. divulge on tlie subject.
