THE BIG BAZAAR.

TO-DAY AND TO-iIORROW. From a peep at the Theatre Royal last night it was quite evident that tie; promoters of the -What the Moon Saw 1 ' bazaar intend to make decorative effect a strong feature. There were about a hundred pairs of willing hands at work, bnd soon the bare theatre walls were hidden with cunning devices dn latticework, draperies and festoons, greenery land flowers. Some of the stalls are of hovel design. Baby-linen is displayed on a very large-sized cradle, or aa imitation of it, and all is white. Icecream gardens are enclosed in pretty lattice-work, and the "snow cave" ;n appropriate garb. The centrepiece is a pretty canopy of pale blue, and its main 'feature comprises some oil paintings •that would be a credit to any town. Another bay, in red and white, stocks fancy goods and glassware. Plants and flowers are well provided for, and pot plants rise tier upon tier. The doll staU ■is another pretty arrangement, and tweets, too, are offered an a coraertopace decked prettily in delicate colorings. Sewing, cushions, and fancy work nave a large hollow square to them- j {selves, the decorations being of pale blue. Produce is shown against a pure white ground. The stage has beeu quite transformed, and flowering cherry trees and the general plan make it a fine imitation of the Japanese tea-gardens. •And all this the moon sees from her (elevated position near the ceiling just in front of the. proscenium. Silvery fetars, crescents, and comets are thickly btudded about the building. Altogether the decorative effect is such that merely to view it is worth the price of admisSaon. The same energy 7, the same determination to excel, has been put into the furnishing of the innumerable articles to be offered at the several stalls for sale. The bazaar is to be opened this afternoon, and will be continued this evening and to-morrow afternoon, and evening. The function is in aid of the Whiteley Memorial (Methodist Church funds.
