The telegraph lines between here and llioonie are sull down, and consequently details of the .Broome pearling din. aster are eoniing to hand slowly. It is feared that many boat* have beeng wrecked and a considerable number of lives lost. Kubin and Davis' schooner with 17 luggers, Goldstein » with 21 luggers, and another schooner with 10 luggers are reported to be missing l . Kubtn's schooner JJux is a total wreck. The captain reached shore after being in the water for ten iiours. The body of the mate, Young, and of a number of colored men have been washed ashore.
The storm is described as one of tho worst that has ever struck tile coast. It did great damage ashore, wrecking many houses and telegraph lines. Mu<S wreckage a,id thousands of dead seabirds are scattered along the shore. Japanese survivors from Rubin's lugger ltoy report that four of the colored Clew were drowned wlien tile boat) foundered.
