Hokitika, Last Night. Tlie scrutiny of tile rolls and (lie recount of the votes cast at me weal election for the Westland constituency were completed this evening. i'lie ltuil result is: H. L. llichel 2720; T. li. l. Seddon 2830; informal 21; majority for Seddon 110. Many reports were current ill regard to a number of double voting, but the scrutiny of the rolls revealed lio eases. THIS WAU'AWA CANDIDATES. Dannevirke, Last Night. Mr. George Hunter, Opposition candidate for Waipawa, was this evening entertained at a complimentary banquet at Dannevirke by his supporters. The candidate was the recipient of a souvenir of the election, and in acknowledging it Air. Hunter expressed his intention of again contesting the seat if his supporters wished it. Mr. Hunter is .also being entertained in other centres of the electorate.
Mr. Hall, M.P., who had been ill through the contest, is now regaining hi* health.
