Ikm was not entitled to attest Knckson's signature, but Endean, who was standing on the wharf, and | who saw Erickson sign, subsequently 'appended Ins signatur.., as witness. Tile Magistrate commented upon tlic «u?t that the clai'ni was not read over to Erickson, who was not conscious that tie was committing a breach of the law in making a declaration that lie was i British subject and had resided in Nor/| inland for twelve months lie t|i«i|lsaed all three informations.
