Weather ■permitting, an interesting and even match should eventuate in the Recreation Sports Ground this afternoon between Wanderers and Rows. Jack and Goas are absent from the Wanderers' team and Hasell and Weston from Rovers.
Cricketers generally will regret to hear that Fred Lash, the popular Ureiiuj player, is at present an inmate of the local hospital. Whilst engaged at his work on Monday, he fell and sustained a serious injury to his log. Playing for Gas Co. v. Wellington on Saturday, W. Hill, formerly of New Plymouth, secured tho good average of five for 02 in an innings of 204. The following will represent United Service ii in the match against New Plymouth to be played on the Recreation Ground on Saturday:—Southall (captain), Simmons, Dinniss, Finlay, hash, Preshaw, Dixon, Seabright, Allkiii, l'fankuch, and Kennedy; emergency, Napier.
