THE AMOKURA
KKTI'KX FROM Till; CHATHAM ISLANDS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. New Zealand's training-ship Amokura arrived at an anchorage in the stream early this morning, after nu absence of fifteen days. She sot out on the 2.>i:h October for the Chatham Islands, whence came a report that smoke had been .seen issuing front an islet known as -The Forty-fours.' 5 and it was cou- | sidered that there might be a marooned party there, perhap.s belonging to the missing Loch J/unond, The Amokifa reached her destination on the following lhursday, and made a live days' stay. '.l he islands were searched, but utf wreckage was seen. When in the 1 vicinity of "The Kurty-tours'' various signals made, but without response. During the fori night's cruise the Amokura has weathered many a storm, and her crew of voung Sailor Bold* have at last found their sea legs. Altogether they enjoyed their trip.
