By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborae, Last Night. The local theatre was crowded tonight to hear the Mayor, Mr. W. D. Lysuar, lecture against no-license. A good deal of interest had been given by an editorial in the Gisbornc Times protesting against the Mayor of the town making such a use of his position, and a large section of the audience had manifestly attended simply to see the fun. Mr. Lysnar's speech was not taken seriously and was punctuated throughout by roars of laughter and good-hum-ored gibes. The meeting lasted from 8 o'clock till about 12.
