BREACH OF AWARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. The Arbitration Court ordered the Tramway I'nion to pay AlfiO to the Electric Tramway Company for breach of award arising out of the late tramway strike. The Court held that in dismissing Conductor Herdmaii with a week's notice the. company should have actually handed him n week's pay, but regarded the flu-each as trilling, and did not impose any penalty. Tile Cou.t held that the company was not bound to find work for regular employees on Christmas Day or on Sundays, the men only being entitled to pay for the actual time worked on those days.
