ANGLICAN SYNOD.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At the Anglican Synod to-day, Dean Fitchett moved that the Primate having suggested in his presidential address constituting a permanent committee or commission to utilise any opportunities that may occur for conference and intercourse with the representatives of other Christian bodies with a vice 'to promoting an organic re-union, that the Primate be requested to nominate at his convenience a commission'for this purpose. The motion was seconded by Rev. H. L. Snow and carried.
T'lie dMbate on theosophy was continued. Mr. Wasper moved an amendment. That the Synod, in view of the spread of theosophic tenets, call attention of churchmen to the fact that such tenets are opposed to the creeds anil formalities of the church. This was duly seconded, but the discussion was soon closed by a motion to proceed with the next business.
