After a discussion extending over two nights, the Diocesan Synod carried the following resolution on the voices:— That in view of the wide-spread evils resulting from the present licensing sysitem, and also in view of the benefits accruing to the people wherever no-license is honestly enforced, this Synod earnestly recommends all churchmen and churchwomcn in this diocese to vote no license at the forthcoming local option poll.
