Three men with previous convictions against them were arrested by detectives yesterday for consorting with reputed Uitevcß. la Court to-daj John Black was sentenced to six months' imlW sonnient. and Norman Brazier tind Michael O'Brien each to three months' imprisonment. ' SLY-GROG SELLING. ' Ashburton, Friday. Thomas Alexander was fined £3O and costs for sly-grog selling. Tlie charge arose out of evidence given at the inquest concerning the deatli of John Taylor, who was found dead on September 17.
