; LADIES' TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Night. He ladies' hockey tournament opened at Day's Bay this afternoon. Senior teams are present from Hawke's Bay, Canterbury, Wairarapa, and Nelson, and junior teams from Wanganui. Hawkes Bay, and Horowhenua. The tournament will not conclude until Friday next, and may last uutil Saturday. la the senior grade Hawkes Bay beat Canterbury by one to nil; Wellington IA. beat Wairarapa B. bv two to one; Nelson drew with Wellington B, one ■»I1; and Wairarapa B. had a byu. la the junior grade, Wellington A. beat Wanganui by eight to nil; Wellington B. beat Hawke's Bay by two to one; and Horowhenua had a bye.
