A CHILD DROWNED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. 1 Haze) Savage, fifteen months old, wus accidentally drowned today at Halswell tllirough falling in a creek. The child wandered away from home and mis found in the creek a few infantes later by her mother. INQUEST. Taihape, Thursday. At the inquest on the body of Granj ham, who was found dead yesterday, a verdict of suicide was returned. Deceased left a letter stating that lie ivm liable to five years' imprisonment for saying things about people, and the I only way out was to commit suicide.
