THE WORKERS AND JUDGE BUI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Trades and .uabor Council last night endorsed the resolution of the Cnristchurdi Council asking for the removal ot Judge Sim from the Arbitration Oourt Bench.
Auckland, Thursday. The Auckland Slaughtermen's Union passed resolutions complimenting the iliuistcr for Labor on the Arbitration Act Amendment Bill; expressing satisfaction with the administration of the Arbitration Court under Judge Sim; disapproving tne Wellington bakers' strike as being ill-advised and unjustified; and expressing a determination to support the Government in the administration of labor laws in fairness to all concerned, or else in their repeal. The union urges a more temperate allegiance to thosß laws and their administration.
Duncdin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Trades and Labor Council to-aight, tlhe following motion was carried:—That the sympathy of the Council be extended to the Canterbury Farm Laborers' Union in the position in Which they have been placed owing to Hie arbitrary and highhanded action of thy President of the Arbitration Court in refusing an award, and the Council endorses the action of J. A. McCullough in entering an emphatic protest against the decision of the Court. The Council also decided that tllie proposals in Hon. Fowld's Bill for extending the franchise in connection with the election of trustees of hospitals and charitable aid boards be approved, and that the local members of Parliament be asked to support tile same.
