CHRISTCHURCH HIGHWAY ROBBERY.
VERDICTS OF GUILTY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gnristchurch, Last .Night. Tho proceedings against Joseph Johnston, Frank Bolton, and Jas. Keegan, in connection with tne eases of alleged highway robbery in this city last Atay, were resumed «i the Supreme Court this morning before Air. Justice Denniston. The hearing ot the charges of robbery from tllie person, commenced, yesterday, was concluded and tile accused weie convicted. The three men were then indietetj for that on -May 11 or 12 last they, broke into and entered the premises of J. T. iUcHarg, of Woolston, and stohr certain overeats, ties, socks, and other goods valued at £lB, and that on or aibout the 14th or i&tJi of May lust they broke into and entered the premises of Wm, Fred. Keen, Linwood, and stole therefrom cigarettes, tobacco, ata|.nps, and other goods, valued at' £2, Each accused pleaded "guilty.'' Sir. Russell, Crown Prosecutor, said that it was not likely that evidcncle" would be led in support of a further| indictment charging tUie accused with robbery from one Mather.
