YOIiNG MAN'S HEAD BATTERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Cnristchureh, Last Night. Early yesterday morning a young man named Denis Bock was taken to the hospital guttering from several severe wounds on the nead. It is stated that Bock had beeji boarding with some friends near the Addington sale l yards, and at about 12.30 a.m. crawled to the ihouse, and said that he had been assaulted and beaten on the head with a stick. He was in a dazed and faint condition, and was removed to the hoaIjital, Bock said that he had been followed from Tuam street by his assailant, but had no clear recollection of what 'had happened. His head was considerably injured.
