THE LAST WORD. THE DUKE OF PORTLAND OPENS OUT. Received 5, 9.50 p.m. London, August 5. Addressing the Welbeck Tenants' Agricultural Society, the Duke of Portland thanked them for their kindness during the continuance of the miserable and fraudulent Druce case. He said that the ridiculous and extraordinary cas-.'s would never have been possible but for the Press sensationalism and the gullibility of the public.
