Asquith; has received an appeal signed by 114 of Lis supporters urging the reduction of armaments. The appeal emphasised the need for a new survey of the situation as shown by the figures in the Budget statement for 1000-7. Sir J. Brunner and Mr. J, H. Macdonald were the authors of the appeal.
