THE MOTHERLAND AND TEE COLOiuES. London, July 29. The House of Commons agreed to the Colonial Office vote after u debate ranging from the question of opium at Hong Kong to the affairs of South Africa.
The Under-Secretary, Colonel Scely, stated that tire Government was most anxious to co-operate with the colonies to find a solution to the question of the exclusion of Asiatics from British possessions.
ECCLESIASTICAL DISORDERS. London, July 29. The Premier, Mr. H. H. Asquith, after a,u interview with a non-party deputation of Commoners promised to carefully consider and bring before his colleagues the deputation's representations conewrning ecclesiastical disorders and illegalities in the Church of England.
LOBD CROMER'S SALARVT. Received 30, 0.50 p.m. London, July 30. Mr. Will. Crooks gave notice of motion that having voted £50,000 to Lord Cromer, the House is of opinion that he does not need the Government pension of £BOO, which should cease in 1915. The motion was received by the Labor members with cheers. TV
INVIDIOUS COMPARISONS. Received 30, 9.50 pjn. London July 30. ' In the Houße of Commons Mr. Reginald McKenna, First' Lord of the Admiralty, replying to questions, agreed with Mr. J. C. Wason in deprecating! the invidious comparisons between British and German navies. i
FINANCE BILL. Received 30, 11.45 p.m. London, July 30. The Finance BUI was read a second time in the House of Lords and business in connection with supply was concluded in the House of Commons.
