TWO-POWER STANDARD.
MR. "LLOYD-GEORGE'S EXPLANATION. Received. 30, 11.45 p.m. London, July 30. Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, in a letter to the Times, denies assailing the two-Power standard, to which the Government was committed. He declares he contended that the nervousness on the part of Germany ■was less to blame and more worthy than our case, since she had no such. standard for her army.
