WESTPORT MURDER CASE.

HEARING OF THE PERJURY CHARGE CONTINUED. By Telegraph.—Presß Association,. Wcstport, Last Night. The hearing of the Conelly perjury case was resumed today. Dr. Simpson was lengthily examined in regard to the wounds, and stated the whole three wounds could have been inflicted by a blunt instrument, and two of them by a knife.

Winifred Harcourt, barmaid, adhered to her former statement. She saw Halinen and Anderson in the hotel before the fish-shop row, and Halinen then had blood on his hands and coat-sleeve. Elizabeth Ayres and Mary Bowling, proprietress and barmaid respectively o'' Ayros' hotel, denied that Conelly had a bottle at the hotel when leaving with Burke.

Alexander Lennie saw stains on Halinen's coat before the fish-shop row, hut would not swear they were blood stains, and could not say that the men did not return to the hotel after the row. Seward said he saw Halinen and Anderson at the City Hotel on Friday night. This was denied by Frances Mclntyre, who also saw Anderson between 6.30 and 7 on the Saturday morning following the death of Bourke. He came to the hotel and spoke of the fight in which Halinen and himself took part tho previous night. She had told Detective Mcllveney that she saw one of those in the fight in the hospital, but now said she was oxcited at the time tho detective saw her, ahd coulH not swea'r that Anderson said anything about the hospital. Witness mrtber statod that Anderson anil Halinen came into the hotel on the following Wednesday after being in gaol three days, and said the people were trying to corniest thorn with Burke's death, but they had a clear conscience. The case was adjourned till to-morrow.
