MR. HUMPHRIES' TESTIMONIAL.
His Worship the Mayor (Mr. G. Tisch) writes as follows:—"Having previously expressed the opinion that some public recognition should be made of Mr. A. L. Humphries' valuable services—for if it had not been for bis exertions and zeal New Plymouth would not be in the po-i----session of a sports ground the best in the Dominion and the admiration of every person who visits the ground—i am glad to have the opportunity of contributing £1 Is, which I do with pleasure."
