PERSIA AND BRITAIN. London, July 12. The Shah of Persia has formally cx« pressed his regret for placing the Bri« tish Legation at Teheran under military surveillance during the recent troubles.
THE SHAH'S PROMISE. Received 13th, 9.50 p.m. Teheran, July 13. The Shah has issued a rescript promising security of lives and property to the refugees in the British Legation at Teheran.
