Presently he returned, dragging the good old mother with him, almost breathless with haste and oveiwi-ue wilh apprehension. Putting on/her spectacles, she regarded the infant critically for a moment, and then said, " lie wauls feeding!" •■There!" cried the young father, excitedly, u w\ both knew the little beg I gar wanted something, but neither of lis could tel, what it was."
