WHEAT THANKSGIVING SERVICE. ] ENORMOUS OFFERINGS. London, June 25. The thanksgiving service held at St-. Paul's Cathedral at the close of the Pa n-Angliean Congress was stately and impressive, though of studied simplicity. The Lord Mayor and Sheriff of London and 0000 delegates were present. The Bishops wore their convocation robes. The Archbishop of Canterbury briefly reminded the people that they must not look for the coming of the few colossal men to be the patterns and champions Of their life, but the Church must valiantly, persistently and hopefully strive to mend what is crooked, ignorant, and amiss in the world. The Bishop* presented freewill oil'eringi from their dioceses amounting in total to £333,208. England and \Vnle-> contributed £297,122, Scotland £5,5!)!), J1 el and £3!>:«), the Army £304, the English colonial dioceses £G3,(i'J5, and American dioceses £14,055.
A GARDEN PARTY. Received 2(ith, 10.40 p.m. London, June 20. The Archbishops or Melbourne and Sydney and Mrs Clarke, and the Bishops of Auckland, Melanesia, and New Guinea were present at a garden party.
