Jl is reported at Simla that the Mohmands ami Klindn Khels forwarded to the Ameer a petition to the effect that they attacked the British at the instance of frontier oflicials", who had now deserted them, and unless they are helped <)iiii-!;ly, they intend to'transfer their country to Britain.
The Afridis have written to a leading Mullah that they do not need any more Mullahs to stir up trouble, and then disavow and desert them, as m the case of the Mohmands.
