SI'EERAGETTES IMPRISONED. London, May 22. The sull'ragettes who were arrested at Mr. Asquith's residence in Downing street elected to go to prison. ELECTORAL REFORM SCHEME. IRISH LAND REFORM. London, May 22. Protests with reference to Mr. Asquith's attitude was made by the Unionist press, which considers redistribution should accompany an electoral reform scjieme. Many think the latter will greatly increase the Labor vote at the expense of Liberalism. In the House of Commons Mr. Birfell announced a short Bill to make it clear that, with the consent of the occupying "planter," the Irish Estates CoimneTsioners may reinstate .evicted tenants.
THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMME. London, May 22. The Telegraph is doubtful whether the Government will proceed with the Education and Miners' Eight Hours' Bills this session, owing to tile necessity of concentrating effort on the Old Age Pensions and Licensing measures.
