ELLIOTT COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Might. A. C. Elliott, the Wellington land agent who recently went bankrupt, vvUsStid over to Australia and returned to New Zealand, surrendering to Hie police at Auckland, last Sunday, was brought before the Magistrate s Omit to-day. Six charges ot theft and Iraud, involving several hundreds of pounds, * were preferred against him. To five ol these Elliott pleaded guilty audio one | not guilty. lie was committed to the | Supreme Court for trial in respect, to the last-named charge, and for scnLeuce 011 the other charges.
