Pegasus relumed to Lviielton to-night bringing with her the crew, 22 ill all, of the four-masted French liari|iu "President Felix I'anre," which was wrecked oil the Antipodes Maud on March 13th. Tile Pegasns had left Wellington on May (ith on a visit to the Chatham. Jiounty, and Antipodes Island-:. She arrived at the last-named on llay 13th at mid-day, and the smoke of a lire \va> then seen, followed by the waving o, garments by men on the beach.
She anchored mi the northern side ol the islands and u boat went ol!' and discovered the sliipwreeked crew. The French baripie had left New Caledonia on February llith, with a cargo of nickel ore for Havre, in France, aim she ran ashore on the south side of the island on .March llith. The crew landed ill one of the boats, ami found the provisions depot. The ship diet not smash up till April lHtli. and up till then Hie men lived on stores brought from the ship.
