DEMONSTRATION AGAINST TURKEY.
FRANCE'S DEMANDS. Paris, April 20. France supports the application of the owners of the Heracles collieries for a prompt settlement of certain claims against the Turkish 'Porte, and notifies that a demand for £SOO will be made for every day's delay, besides a demand for indemnity for losses occasioned through Turkey's attitude.

It Is semiofficially reported at Home tlint Turkey lias conceded to Italy tlio 3:nm' privileges as the other Powers regarding post offices, and assured Count Tittoni of the Porte's unshaken sentiments, since friendship had been existing for ygars between the King of Italy and I lie Sultan and the respective Governments. Coutat Tittoni expressed lub satisfaction, and reserved other matters » for subsequent negotiation, hut insisted on the immediate .resumption of the passenger and goods service by tlie Italian mail-boats between Tripoli, Mmis, and Misratah, which was arbitrarily prohibited. The Italian naval demonstation has
been countermanded. The first division had already sailed, and was ordered to remain at Suda Bay. The others sbay in Italian waters until the whole question has been fully and definitely settled.
