THREATENED RAILWAY STRIKE
DEMAND FOE EIGHT-HOUR DAY. Received April 15, 1140 p.m. London, April 16. Employees of the Railway threaten to strike in favour of nn all grades' programme, including an eight-hour day for all the grades engaged in the movement of vehicles, and two shillings extra weekly to all working over eight hours.
