Mr. William Hughe*, Governor of the Rate of New Tork, has promoted a waxworks exhibition at the Mnseuni of Natural History. The exhibition reveals the terrible congestion prevailing in the flats of New Tork. The conditions under which thousands of families sleep at night and work during the day are shown to lie eqn:il to those of the worst sweating dens in the East End of London in uncU-anliness and wretchedness.
