FORMATION OF COMPANY
PAPER TO BE CONDUCTED ON OLD
LINES.

Justice Warrington has sanctioned the formation of a company to take over the Times, with Mr. Walter as chairman. and Mr. Moberley Bell as manager, the rest of the directors being Messrs Buckle. Chirol. Monke. and Penny, leading memliers of the staff. No shares are to be offered to the public, and there will be no change in the political or editorial direction of the paper, which will be conducted by the same "taff on the independent line hitherto pursued.
The Chronicle suggests that Lord Rothschild and Lord Northcliffe (formerly Sir Alfred Harmsworth) provided the linlk of the Times' eapit .1. and states that the goodwill is valued at €391.000. without plint and freehold premises.
The Daily Mail *tates the capital of the Times Company is £750.000.
