FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND.
THE WATER RECEDING.

According to the latest reports from the Hooded districts the water is receding. In Tamworth the water in the main street stood waist deep. Much damage jwas done to business premises. A vouth at Ponsonby wa « drowned While'attempting to swim the river. Bound Boggaori, Narrabri, Uunneilah and Wawa wide areas of crops are Bubmerged. It Li feared much damage baa been done. Serious losses of stock are reported. Narrabri cemetery is under water and funerals are blocked.
The railway for miles is Hooded. Here are many washawajs. The service is dislocated.
